Ovenden Allworks undertook the works at a private property to construct a flood protecting wall for a resident in Bridge.

The first challenge was constructing a cofferdam to allow the reinforced foundations of the wall to be excavated and constructed without the river water impeding the works, but careful to not block the river.

Once above the water level a double skinned brick wall was erected and a surface water drainage solution added behind the wall. 

The project was completed with flint blocks and Indian sandstone paving slabs to complete a functional and aesthetically pleasing finish.
