Ovenden Allworks completed the earthworks to the Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Restharrow Scrape extension.

These works included the creation of various islands and channels at that would facilitate the diverse species of birds to visit safely, these were dressed with suitable aggregate to recreate their natural nesting habitat.​

Plus the construction of bunds around the perimeter to protect the area.

The main challenge of these works was excavating in an area with a very high water table.
